Northern Borneo (?), overall 73.5 cm, blade 55 cm, hilt 12.5 cm -1299D275-

Ulu-Ulu: Sea cow ivory kakatua pommel, silver ferrules.
Salungan: Wooden kemuning sheath covered with okir engraved silver case and shoe and 7 silver rings. Metal work probably Bugis.
Tungo: Straight low quality blade with an iron asang-asang, Belalai Gajah, grening.
In the Moro world the outside aspect of the weapon was more important than the blade which is the opposite to the Javanese world. This datu Kris scabbard is of very high quality workmanship whereas the blade is of poor quality.
