Bessi

Blade with a belly shape sharp side and straight back, with a wood grain pattern, made of two metal sheets folded back over themselves and a central steel section.

Sarong Wooden sheath entirely covered with three pieces of embossed silver: a mouthpiece, a shoe at the tip and a plate covering the midsection with a loop to insert a suspension cord. Repousse decoration of intricately foliated scrolls.
This finely made Badik is called Raja (royal) because of the quality of its finish. Its shape is a reminder of the Sumba Kabeala.
